They Had Me At Hello
I remember so vividly sitting in my sisters kitchen in BC the first time I ever connected with Katie & Doug. As we Skyped, and they told me all about their plans to elope, wildfires burned all around me. I remember that hearing the details about their big day took my mind off the chaos. I learned that Brittany from Elegant Productions was helping to plan all of the beautiful details, while Kristen & Jane from Arrow & Knot Productions would be with me throughout the day documenting Katie & Doug's love as well. Katie had also nailed down 3 more of my favourites, Selena (mua), Cara (stylist) & Chelsea (floral wizard). Needless to say, I knew immediately I needed to be involved as these two sweet souls promised forever to one another.
Katie & Doug
October 6th, 2017 is a day I will never forget; This is the day that a handful of us gathered in the second oldest building of Halifax, The Little Dutch Church, to witness Katie & Doug say 'I do'. The ceremony was sweet & simple, and every word spoken between these two was meaningful and said with purpose. It was perfect. Following the ceremony we took a water taxi to McNabs Island; There was drizzle, Johnnie Walker, Bob (their Bernese Mountain Dog - taken care of by Alisha, a bridesmaid in our previous wedding), and so much love! To end the night we head back into the city to Chives, where the Vault was done up so beautifully. It was here I left, and Katie & Doug were able to celebrate as they had wanted - Alone, but together.
